Online Web Publishing FAQs (continues..)
Q: Do I retain my copyrights? How about my international copyrights?
A: We will never come between you and your copyrights. You retain those 100%. As for internationally, the nature of the internet means that there is no longer any reason to separate your local and international copyrights, as any document in cyberspace knows no boundaries.
Q: Do I need to give publishing credits to you in my book?
A: We do request a single line of credit on the publishing info page (Usually the page directly after your cover page) inside your E-Book. It must mention our name and have a link to our website. No, this line does not need to appear in other version of your work that we do not sell, only the version that sells from the site that we make for you.
Q: Does my website, and/or our contract, ever expire?
A: We think of the contract and the website as separate things. A website we make for you will sell one book. If you sell two books with us, we make two websites, which we can link together, and we sincerely hope each site will last forever online. Our contract with you pertains strictly to the website we make for you, and therefore, expires when all of your websites expire. –This may never happen, or may take many years, as invariably the subject matter of your book may lose interest over time.
Q: At what point do you ‘pull the plug’ on a book that isn’t selling?
A: If the website receives sufficient traffic, but still doesn’t sell a copy in 90 days, we will talk with you and see if there is another angle to take with your work.
